The saving grace is that young people tend to recognise adult BS when they see it. More importantly, they instinctively know how to subvert the message or, to use the vernacular, take the piss. I expect it won’t be long before we hear a chorus of “Maaate!” when someone in the peer group says something eminently sensible, PC or woke.
